NAMDS is the peak body representing after-hours medical deputising services in Australia and seeks to facilitate and encourage high standards of after-hours primary medical care. NAMDS develops and negotiates definitions and standards for medical deputising in Australia with Government, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and accreditation bodies to the betterment of patients, subscribing GPs and members. From a practical and organisational point of view.

A dynamic, living village in the heart of Hobart. The Battery Point Community Association was founded in 1948 as a member-based community group of the residents, property owners and business owners of Battery Point. The Association is led by an elected committee who meet monthly in the Battery Point Community Hall. Committee members are elected at the Annual General Meeting each year.
